Guelph — The program and registration have been established for the 6th International Boar Semen Preservation Conference, being held August 12-15, for the first time in Canada.
Six plenary presentations and two workshops will form the core of the conference’s sessions, which take place onsite at the Nottawasaga Conference Centre , nestled in Ontario’s rolling countryside north of Toronto.
Speakers for the conference are confirmed from Germany, Belgium, Australia, Sweden, Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands, the United States and Canada. Dr. Mary Buhr of the University of Guelph, chair of the organizing committee, says productivity and fertility are the key topics that will be covered at this conference. "The program committee has concentrated on areas we think hold the biggest potential for the industry," she says. "We’re looking forward to welcoming participants to Canada for a quality program, in an amazing facility."
Conference participants are encouraged to bring their families to enjoy the Nottawasaga Conference Centre. It is one of Ontario’s premier recreation destinations, featuring a 70,000-square-foot sports and leisure dome, 45 holes of golf, and an indoor skating rink, open even during the summer.
Online registration is available now, through the conference website. For more details, visit the website or contact Buhr at mbuhr@uoguelph.ca.
