RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST/CONSULTANT
Elanco Research and Development is seeking to develop individuals who have recently earned their DVM and/or PhD and are interested in a career in Animal Health Drug Development. Areas in which the applicant may work include: clinical safety and efficacy for companion animals, clinical safety and efficacy for food animals, and regulatory.
KEY OBJECTIVES/DELIVERABLES:
- Development and execution of pilot laboratory studies in companion and/or food animals
- Development and execution of clinical research plans in companion and/or food animals
- Development of clinical protocols to demonstrate safety and efficacy of molecules under development
- Oversight of clinical trial activities
- Preparation of final study reports to support regulatory submissions
- Development and execution of companion and/or food animal regulatory strategy and its integration with clinical development
- Interaction with domestic and international regulatory agencies to negotiate the necessary requirements to provide substantial evidence of safety and effectiveness
- Lead, direct and coordinate resources to execute regulatory submissions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- DVM and/or PhD in a Biological, Chemical, Animal Science or other related Scientific field
- At least 1 year of work or academic experience in a clinical environment
