PRRS-CAP to hold workshop during AASV conference

In an effort to provide an overview of PRRS research progress and obtain input from AASV annual meeting attendees, the USDA PRRS CAP (Coordinated Agricultural Program) will be conducting a workshop in conjunction with the AASV Annual Meeting in Orlando. The workshop will take place on Saturday, March 3 from 8:00 am until 12:00 noon at the Doubletree Hotel at the Entrance to Universal Orlando. There is no registration needed for the workshop, which is open to all AASV annual meeting attendees.

The USDA PRRS CAP is undergoing competitive renewal. The continuation, to be called CAP2, will begin operating in 2007. Following extensive input by the stakeholder community, including veterinarians, there will be significant changes in the operation, management and scientific focus of the PRRS CAP. Each moderator will present a short program outlining the current status and future directions of research progress on various CAP2 aims. The tentative program is as follows:
