Schering-Plough Animal Health has gained approval in the UK for a new macrolide for treating ileitis and swine dysentery.
Aivlosin, previously approved for the treatment of respiratory disease, is a feed-grade antibiotic available only by prescription for use in growing and finishing pigs.
