Position Announcement – Swine Veterinary Residency

Seaboard Foods, a completely integrated swine system with 213,000 sows, is offering a residency program in the Oklahoma panhandle. The revolutionary program of 2-3 years duration offers a veterinarian a chance to get practical experience in swine health and production in one of the largest totally integrated systems in the world. The program also offers the opportunity to obtain a Master’s Degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, fully paid by Seaboard.

The successful candidate must be a self-motivated veterinarian with a solid work ethic, strong critical thinking skills, and a desire to grow professionally. The candidate needs to function well in a dynamic team environment and have the ability to obtain licenses in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado.

The selected candidate will be based in Guymon, Oklahoma. Some travel will be required in northeastern Colorado and western Kansas. Travel will also be required to attend intensive classes at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. A competitive salary, with full benefits, and a paid scholarship for the pursuit of a Master’s Degree are included.
