Conversion tables

The Journal of Swine Health and Production uses American Medical Association style, which requires us to report weights and measures in SI units. As it is cumbersome to present both conventional and SI units, only SI units are reported, with a few exceptions. For example, if complex statistical analysis has been performed on data that has been reported in conventional units, no conversion will be required. These tables are provided in each issue of the journal for the convenience of our readers who do not ordinarily deal with SI units (eg, pig weights in kg and area measurements in m2). In addition, the conversion factors are available for authors to use in preparing their manuscripts. More conversion factors will be added as required.
