Topigs Norsvin USA is currently searching for a Senior Staff Veterinarian. This position will provide technical expertise in health management, including biosecurity and production practices. The Senior Staff Veterinarian must possess the ability to evaluate pig production systems and to develop and manage strategies that maintain high health and improve genetic performance. The Senior Staff Veterinarian will work with both internal Topigs Norsvin USA (TNUSA) farms as well as customers to evaluate, advise and make recommendations to support the performance of TNUSA products.

In the eighth annual report to the Swine Health Information Center, which provides the primary funding for its work, Morrison Swine Health Monitoring Project leader Dr. Cesar Corzo of the University of Minnesota detailed project outcomes for its three primary objectives. MSHMP monitors trends in pathogens incidence and prevalence, conducts prospective monitoring of PRRSV sequence evolution and impact, and expands participation of producers to increase relevance and deliverables to the swine industry.
